2nd December 1974, It looks rough!
At the opening of the new Clem Jones Stand at The Brisbane Cricket Ground - the GABBA - on December 1st, then Prime Minister Gough Whitlam announced the best way to survive as Prime Minister was to watch cricket. In the meanwhile Queensland's Premier Joh Bjelke-Petersen was campaigning to have the Whitlam Government ousted.
