23rd November 1976, The silver lining.

Federal Liberal Treasurer, Philip Lynch, felt that the 1976 decision by the Arbitration Comission to award a pay claim by the ACTU based on the increase in the CPI was bad for the economy. The Prime Minister, Malcolm Fraser, was able to point out a bright side.
