Not another budget constraint!

It has been decided to rest from racing in the Spring Racing Carnival 2012 the famous Australian mare Black Caviar who won her 22nd race when she collected the First Prize in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot. Trained by Peter Moody she has won a fortune for her eight owners and been the delight of Australian punters. Jockeys have been Jarrad Noske, Luke Nolan who rode most races and Ben Melham.

With concerns increasing over the effect of diminishing revenue forecasts from the mining tax, it's always possible that Treasurer Wayne Swan and Prime Minister Julia Gillard may find effects from the news of Black Caviar's absence from the field!
