The Geelong Football Team (The Cats) win the AFL
Premiership for Season 2011 against Collingwood (The Magpies) 119 points to 81. It is Geelong's third premiership in 5 years.
Meanwhile, as "Mad Monday" celebrations which sees Geelong and Collingwood players dressing up to celebrate the end of the season, comes to an end, Prime Minister Julia Gillard finds herself with difficulties defending her leadership from internal Labor factions, the Liberal opposition lead by Tony Abbott,
and the issue of convincing the Australian public that her cabinet is still the winning team. While the Prime Minister is actually the number 1 ticket holder for the Western Bulldogs, one could imagine she might be tempted to draw some inspiration by looking further west!
