Massive aid effort.

Australian governmental aid now stands at 1 billion dollars with a total of over 5 billion pledged worldwide to help the victims of the December 26th tsunamis. In the aftermath of the tsunamis there are now an estimated 5 million people homeless in 12 countries and the estimated number of deaths is standing at more than 150,000.
