Susie O'Neill's world record.

On the 17th of May Susie O'Neill broke the record for 200 metre butterfly, previously held by American Mary T. Meagher. The record had stood since 1981, making it the oldest swimming record on the books at the time. In the meanwhile controversey continues to dog the Sydney Olympic organisers, SOCOG.
