Guidelines for GST widely criticized.

Confusion about the rounding up of prices with the introduction of the new Goods and Services Tax (GST) has lead to the rather embarrassing situation where Government ministers have been contradicting each other concerning the effect of the GST on prices. In addition the acting Treasurer, Mr Joe Hockey, has admitted that the introduction of the GST may, in some cases, cause prices to rise more than just the 10 per cent originally promised.
