Things look grim for Mars Polar Lander.

Despite best efforts of NASA engineers, contact has not been established with the Mars Polar Lander and the situation now looks hopeless with NASA at a loss to explain what happened to the lander and its associated probes. Whatever happened to the lander, the only thing everyone can agree on is: it's not fair!
