Protesting!

Australia opposes nuclear testing by any country. In 1995 Australia's Prime Minister Paul Keating issued a statement, as Chair of the South Pacific Forum, condemning the Chinese Nuclear Tests of 15th May and the 17th August. France's final series of eight tests finished on January 26th, 1996. On August 10th, 1995 the announcement was made that France would not continue when the series was finished.
