Hey! We're on the menu!

Australia's surveillance organization 'Coastwatch' had originally failed to pick up 56 Chinese Boat People when they landed on the North West Coast on December 31 1991.

A group of 35 were picked up after surviving 16 days in the outback. To feed themselves they ate small crocodiles, snakes and Lizards. One man was later seen by a helicopter as he walked along a road 18 miles from his landing point. 78 people arrived in the 1991/1992 financial year.
