Prime Minister Bob Hawke and Treasurer Paul Keating reflect on the efforts of Peter Walsh, who was Finance Minister until 1990. Walsh proved to be a fiscal guardian who worked to spend tax payer's money with the most effect. At this time he was complaining about the cost over-run and late delivery for Navy projects.
