Seriously!?

In the lead up to the Federal election of March 24, 1990 Prime Minister Bob Hawke and Deputy Prime Minister and Treasurer Paul Keating seek to reassure the Australian public as the effects of the 'recession we had to have' began to be felt.

The Hawke Labor Party won the election. The narrow win depended on second preference votes from the Australian Democrats and other environmental parties.
