Has the farm been sold?

At this time the Japanese Nikkei Stock Index had reached an all time high. The extremely strong Japanese economy saw busines forays into real estate, mining and farm businesses in Australia. There were anxieties that Australia was in danger of losing control of its own supplies and economy and that there was a danger of literally 'selling the farm' for the short term gain.
