Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen surprises the Coalition Liberal and National Parties with his announcement of his decision to run for the office of Prime Minister. Traditionally in the Coalition the Federal Liberal Party provides the Prime Minister with the Federal National Party Leader taking the position of Deputy Prime Minister.
