Not so fighting words...

President Ronald Reagan ordered U.S. Military to commence a bombing campaign in Libya in May 1986 in retaliation for Libyan support of attacks on U.S. planes and personnel in Europe, the most infamous being the Berlin Disco Bombing on the 5th April 1986.

Four people were jailed for the bombing in 2001 by a European court, three of them had been Libyan Embassy staff, in what was then East Germany, at the time of the bombing.
