Neighbourhood Watch.

In Australia the Neighbourhood Watch scheme began in Victoria in 1983. It grew from strength to strength and was spreading to other states at this time. The Australian scheme was based on the British one, first trialed in 1982 in Mollington, Cheshire, and itself based on American Police experiences in Chicago.
