Tantrum time!

The so called 'razor gang' were trying to cut back on Federal spending. Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser and Treasurer John Howard had persuaded States' Premiers to accept a 3% cut in revenue from Federal funded revenue. Afterwards Malcolm Fraser and John Howard said that the Premiers had missed out on an extra $70 million by not arguing hard enough.
