Signalling the way.

Delays in Melbourne rail transport system caused many delays for commuters. At this stage a new signal system had been put in place in preparation for the opening of the underground City Loop system. At this time the City Loop had been under construction for many years and was finally opened on a gradual scale between 1981 - 1985.
