A raid!

An unannounced visit to ASIO (Australian Security and Intelligence Organisation) in March 1973 by Australian Attorney General Lionel Murphy caused a furore among the political leaders on both sides, with Prime Minister Gough Whitlam and Opposition Liberal Leader William Snedden and others such as Phillip Lynch, John Gorton, William McMahon and Shadow Attorney General Ivor Greenwood all getting involved.

It was claimed that ASIO officers were not able to provide information that Lionel Murphy sought on Croatian terrorist groups operating in Australia.
