Mixed up!

The Government of Liberal Prime Minister Sir William McMahon was continually releasing funds to the states in an effort to increase popularity. Meanwhile Sir Henry Bolte at home in Victoria was dealing with the effects of power strikes and the reactions of a fractious population who had many sources of power from which to choose including natural gas since 1970.
