Honours all round!

Tennis players from all over the world were vying for honours in The Australian Open played during January at Kooyong Tennis Courts on grass. Australian Ken Rosewall successfully defended his title as champion.

Australian Prime Minister Sir William McMahon and the State Premier of Victoria Sir Henry Bolte had been recognized in the Imperial New Years Honours List. There was much celebration.
