Liberal Prime Minister John Grey Gorton puts to work his Federal treasurer William McMahon in the presentation of the 1968 Federal Budget. As it worked out Federal elections came to be held on 25th October, 1969. The 7.10 % swing against the Liberal-Coalition Parties was gained by the Labor Party.
