5th April 1984, Making money with "The Accord"

Starting in June 1983 a wages Accord was in force in Australia which tied national wage increases into increases in the consumer price index (CPI). No such changes were reflected in Australia's taxation system however, so 'bracket creep' meant that more and more people ended up in the higher tax brackets.
