Maybe reallocate the budget?

The Abbott Federal Government has announced a pay rise for members of the armed forces. Defence Force personnel will receive a 1.5% pay rise per year until 2016, which in real terms is actually a cut as it is below the current rate of inflatiion.

Reactions and criticism have been many and various. One of the most out-spoken has been Senator Jacqui Lambie of the PUP party among many others.
