An occupational hazard?

Bill Shorten is leader of The Australian Labor Party after three weeks of campaign and subsequent ballots conducted in both the ALP Caucus and among rank and file members.He defeated fellow Party member Anthony Albanese In the ratio between the two areas each Caucus vote equalled just under 350 rank and file votes.

On Sunday morning Governor General Quentin Bryce contacted Prime Minister Tony Abbott and offered to resign her position if any conflict was felt to be present because the new leader of the ALP is her son-in-law. The Prime Minister refused to accept her resignation.
