The maelstrom.

The Balkans War and subsequent devastation, genocide and destruction and the need for the solving of the situation had drawn in not only all NATO members but other nations around the world as well. President of the USA Bill Clinton, UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and Australia's Prime Minister John Howard were among those navigating perilous times. At this stage after the Racak massacre in January 1999 the Rambouillet Accords broke down and the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia followed.
