A balancing act...Two Labor stalwarts Bill Kelty and Paul Keating spent a great deal of time working on Enterprise Bargaining Agreements which were introduced in Australia in 1991 under the Prices and Income Accord Mark VII. As unemployment and rising inflation had become an issue the future jobs of workers were at stake. Bill Kelty was Secretary of the ACTU from 1983 - 2000. Paul Keating became Prime Minister in December. |
