Keeping it small!

1991 saw the introduction of the Metcard system which was to give Victorian travellers access to train, tram and bus travel with one ticket. Difficulties and delays occurred with the development and running of the system. Clients struggled with payment - exact coins were needed on trams - and zone systems as commuters travelled from the many now unmanned stations and conductors were no longer employed.
