Too little or too much?

The Hawke Labor Government with Treasurer Paul Keating were struggling to revive Australia's economy.

Former Prime Minister Gough Whitlam had made his announcement that the Labor Party 'should do more' against the background of an economy that was on the downslide and inflation and unemployment that was on the rise.
