Opening the curtain.
After 50 years since the outbreak of World War 11 when Hitler's army
invaded Poland, Mikhail Gorbachev lead reforms
that saw the end of political supremacy of the Communist Party in the
Soviet Union.
President Ronald Reagan of the United States had joined with him in
summit conferences to help achieve the end of The Cold War and the
drawing back of the so-called 'Iron Curtain'
that separated the Soviet countries from the rest of the world. Poland finally
achieved autonomy and became The Third Polish Republic.
