Maybe a bit annoyed...

The Industrial Relations Act 1988 replaced the Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1904. Prime Minister Bob Hawke's Labor Government's decision to deal with the outdated 1904 profile was received with both approval by some and criticism by others in the economic and industrial fields. Opposition Leader John Howard was also outspoken and in favour of the reforms.
