Maybe I should rephrase that...

Opposition Leader John Howard had joined many Australians as they had doubts about the Treaty with Australia's Indigenous population as promised by Prime Minister Bob Hawke on 12th June, 1988 in his Barunga Statement at The Barunga Festival that year. The Liberal Party Howard Team had just been formed with the next election in mind.
