Doing the books.

The Iran-Contra deal was a 'weapons for hostages' scandal. On November 18th, 1987, the U.S Congress issued its final report stating that President Ronald Reagan bore the 'ultimate reponsibilty'. Later Reagan spoke on national television and said that he believed that what he had done was right and his approval ratings later returned to former high levels. Later it turned out that the United States economy also had a very large deficit.
