Worried about Nukes?

After the unrestrained massacre of nine people and injury of 5 others in Queen Street, Melbourne, Victoria on the 9th August there were huge questions about the control and use of guns in Victoria. Tragically another massacre of 7 dead and 19 injured occurred in Hoddle Street on 8th December, 1987.

Prior to the shooting the Nuclear Disarmament Party had campaigned furiously for the July 11 Federal election won by the incumbent Hawke Labor Party. Robert Wood won a first time Senate Seat for the NDP. He was later disqualified for not being an Australian citizen at the time of nomination.
