Demands!

Steve Crabb was Victorian Labor Party Minister for Labour in the Cain Government when the construction of the new tennis venue called Centre Court - Flinders Park Centre was announced. Now known as Rod Laver Arena after one of the great talents of Australian Tennis it has been the venue for many Australian Open Tennis Tournaments with many tennis greats now having played there.

In 1987 the talented and garrulous American tennis player John McEnroe was a contender on the world scene. As it happened a number of unions who were to be involved in the construction of the Centre also came up with a few demands of their own when the project was announced.
