A defensive position!

It was Remembrance Day 1985 and also the ten year anniversary of the dismissal of the Labor Government of Prime Minister Gough Whitlam. The Government of Labor Prime Minister Bob Hawke was facing a huge trade deficit and in the previous ten months the Australian dollar had dropped in value by 25%.
