Careful!

In a climate of industrial action and after years of trying to negotiate through their organisations, particularly the RANF, nurses in the state of Victoria rejected the disappointing wages and conditions finally offered by the Cain Labor government's Health Minister, David White. For the first time militant action was taken as they staged a 24 hour walk-out from the hospitals. Skeleton staffs were left behind to care for patients.
