Reflecting on peace.

It was Anzac Day and marches are held to commemorate the bravery of our defence forces and those who defend us. In London Policewoman WPC Yvonne Fletcher was fatally shot outside the Libyan Embassy during a protest which had been going on for several days. The shot that murdered her came from inside the Embassy. Britain maintained a 15 year cut in diplomatic relations with Libya until 1999 when Gaddaffi took responsibility for her death.

Bill Hartley was a Political Activist. He was outspoken on Middle East matters and attempted to raise money from Saddam Hussein in the 70's. He was expelled from the Victorian Socialist Left faction of the ALP in 1986.
