On playing fair.

The war between Iran and Iraq began in September 1980 and by late 1983 reports of the use of chemical weapons in that conflict began to appear. In March 1984 the United Nations began investigating the reports with the first of what was to be seven special missions. Iraq was subsequently named as the aggressor in 1986, as the use of chemical weapons against Iran was repeatedly confirmed. The UN missions continued up till the end of the war in August 1988.
