Counting sheep!

Australia suffered under the strife caused by government and union intransigience, and as a result the National Wage case was soon to reopen. Unions were demanding a 35 hour week and attention to rates of pay, the Federal Government under Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser had a different view of what was appropriate, but the then head of the Australian Council of Trade Unions, Bob Hawke, was a long way ahead in the popularity polls.
