It's not us they're talking about...

The Lebanese Civil War had been going for 3 years at this stage. It lasted until 1990. The population of this once beautiful city suffered an estimated 120,000 casualties, thousands were displaced and there was an exodus overseas of almost one million people.

Meantime there was talk of peace in the Middle East. Somewhere.
