Greener pastures?

On 12th February, 1977 Victoria's Western District suffered bad bush fires, which resulted in the deaths of 4 people and widespread loss of stock, houses , buildings and grasslands. At the same time, Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser's Liberal Party had begun to address the particular issue of Vietnamese Refugees, who were waiting in camps all over the world and some of whom were arriving by boat. They continued to be settled in Australia until the early 1980's.
