There goes the paddle...

La Nina weather events had made 1974/75 one of the wettest years.

On this day the Senate Coalition parties lead by Federal Liberal leader Malcolm Fraser, had denied passage of the Supply Bills. This continued for three weeks and on the 11th November Prime Minister Gough Whitlam was dismissed by Governor-General Sir John Kerr.
