Accident?

Prime Minister Gough Whitlam and Opposition leader Malcolm Fraser face looming economic problems with the rise of inflation and unemployment. The Vietnam War had just ended on the 30th April. Fraser had tried to bring on a censure motion that accused Gough Whitlam of misleading the House with cables to Hanoi. The motion was not upheld. The Senate also completely rejected the Australian Government Insurance Office Bill on the grounds that it would interfere with private insurance business and companies.
