End of the second Tent Embassy.

With the background of union calls for a reduced working week and the associated opposition, the second removal of the Aboriginal Tent Embassy from outside Old Parliament House Canberra.

Frustration caused by the Federal Government's failure to live up to the spirit of the 1967 referendum, and a response to the Aboriginal Policy of the government of Liberal Prime Minister William McMahon, led to the setting up of the Aboriginal Tent Embassy on Australia Day 1972.
