Revaluing the tennis
The purity of Amateur Sport was in question at this time.
In 1968 more than 40 members of the ILTF (International Lawn Tennis
Federation) voted to begin open competition.
After years of being kept in seperate competitions Amateur and
Professional tennis players were at last able to play each other in true
world championships.
Revaluing was the second echo in the cartoon because Australia had
adopted decimal currency in 1966 and had forsaken the British system of
pounds, shillings and pence.
