Trouble at home and abroad...

US soldiers were fighting in Vietnam. Meanwhile at home in Detroit USA the '12th street Riot occurred in mainly African-American areas.

Police and military troops were deployed to deal with the violence. There were deaths and many injuries.

This cartoon was published in the Saturday Evening Mercury, so no "hook" but if you look closely you'll see Jeff and some of his children!
